Dampness is reported from photographs alone
Supply dated images and explain that the property has not yet been assessed. Thermal imaging records surface temperature, not water inside walls.
A photograph records appearance rather than hidden moisture
Dated images can show the visible mark and its change, but an ordinary photograph is not a thermal survey or source confirmation. Explain who took it, where it was taken and whether the property has since been visited. Avoid turning an off-site interpretation into a repair location.
Ask what requires confirmation at the property
The recipient should distinguish what the images support from what remains to be assessed with authorized access. Thermal evidence itself still needs corroboration of moisture and a source question. If no on-site evidence is available yet, arranging an assessment is a different decision from approving a concealed pipe repair.
What the chosen detection method establishes
Ask what on-site confirmation is needed before interpreting thermal or acoustic evidence. Acoustic findings depend on conditions and need corroborating evidence.
