A watering zone loses pressure and leaves a wet spot
Describe the zone and the affected sprinklers from a safe location. Landscape wetness can involve a line, valve or sprinkler component.
Low zone pressure and a wet spot are two observations
Describe which sprinklers changed and where wetness appears, without assuming both observations identify one broken pipe. A head, connection, valve or line may need distinction. The actual zone label helps frame that assessment more precisely than a general report that the entire irrigation system has lost pressure.
Ask which component explains the pattern
The recipient should state what evidence supports the proposed repair and whether the rest of the zone was assessed. If excavation is recommended, ask why surface-component work would not address the finding. Include the relevant utility-locating and landscape access arrangements rather than approving a buried repair from poor sprinkler performance alone.
Identify the irrigation zone and supply
Ask what distinguishes a broken line from a head or valve problem before excavation is quoted. The zone, supply type and watering cycle help define testing.
