A damp floor is near both a bathroom and garden line
Describe the two possible systems and when the mark changes. A damp floor alone does not locate a pressurized pipe leak.
Two nearby supplies create two source questions
A floor mark beside a bathroom and a garden line can invite a quick assumption about the nearest indoor pipe. Give both systems and the known timing of water use. The visible location is helpful, but it does not establish which circuit supplied the moisture or whether the fault is beneath the slab.
Ask what evidence selects the underfloor route
Before accepting slab access, clarify which alternative was assessed and what finding supports the proposed line location. If only the bathroom supply was evaluated, the garden line remains a separate question. An opening should state its purpose and reinstatement scope rather than silently closing an untested competing-source inquiry.
Distinguish the source before planning access
Ask which evidence identifies the source before a slab opening is included in the repair proposal. Detection, pipe repair and floor restoration can involve separate scope items.
