Moisture appears after one particular fixture is used
Record that timing and the affected room. A stain shows where water appeared, not necessarily its origin.
Fixture timing narrows the question
Moisture appearing after ordinary use of one fixture is a useful sequence to report. State the fixture and the affected surface without repeatedly operating it to reproduce a leak. That sequence can guide an investigation, but it does not on its own distinguish supply piping from drainage or another water path.
Ask which part of that fixture route needs work
The proposed repair should identify the confirmed source instead of treating every nearby pipe as equally implicated. If an opening is needed, ask what it will establish and which source remains uncertain. A finish-restoration agreement should follow the source decision, with any separate access or drying assessment clearly described.
Locate the leak before repairing finishes
Ask whether supply, drain or another route needs investigation instead of treating every interior stain as a pressure-line leak. Detection, pipe work and restoration can need separate authorizations.
