A unit floor is damp but the supply may be shared
Give the unit location and notify management if shared plumbing could be involved. A damp floor alone does not locate a pressurized pipe leak.
A unit symptom may need evidence outside the unit
Damp flooring identifies the affected residence, but the source could require access to a shared supply space or another authorized location. Tell management what is visible and whether the unit has its own documented meter. Lack of a private meter does not by itself confirm or exclude an underfloor leak.
Ask what the available access can establish
An assessment confined to one unit may leave part of the source question unanswered. Ask which section can be tested and which permission is still needed. The findings should name those limits before an opening is approved, keeping plumbing evidence separate from any later decision about who pays for repair.
Distinguish the source before planning access
Ask what access to another unit or service room is needed to distinguish a slab-level source. Detection, pipe repair and floor restoration can involve separate scope items.
