Changed outdoor use should not become an indoor diagnosis
If floor moisture is noticed alongside different pool-refill or watering activity, preserve the timing of both observations. The events may be related or separate. Ordinary water-use records can guide the question, but they do not establish that outdoor consumption caused the floor mark or that a household pipe lies beneath it.
Ask which system the proposed evidence implicates
Before agreeing to slab access, request the finding that distinguishes an underfloor supply concern from the outdoor alternatives. If an outdoor circuit was outside the assessment, that should remain an open question. The proposed opening and floor reinstatement need to relate to the actual source evidence, rather than the coincidence of changed use.
Distinguish the source before planning access
Ask what separates an underfloor supply issue from water associated with pool refill or landscape irrigation. Detection, pipe repair and floor restoration can involve separate scope items.
