A noisy outdoor system may mask pipe sounds
Tell the recipient which equipment was running during the observation. Thermal imaging records surface temperature, not water inside walls.
Background equipment sound belongs in the report
Tell the investigator which outdoor systems were operating when the sound was noticed. Ordinary equipment noise can complicate interpretation, so the loudest observation should not automatically become a repair location. Keep the reported pipe symptom distinct from the operating schedule of nearby pool or irrigation equipment.
Ask how relevant line evidence was distinguished
The assessment should explain which accessible pipe points and corroborating findings support its conclusion. If background conditions prevent a clear result, have that limitation stated. A quieter or inconclusive observation is not proof that every line is sound, and a loud one is not sufficient on its own to authorize an opening.
What the chosen detection method establishes
Ask how background sound and the accessible pipe points affect the acoustic investigation. Acoustic findings depend on conditions and need corroborating evidence.
