Water noise occurs only during a particular cycle
Identify whether the cycle involves pool equipment, irrigation or fixture use. Thermal imaging records surface temperature, not water inside walls.
A cycle-specific sound needs the cycle identity
Tell the investigator whether the reported sound coincides with a known pool, irrigation or fixture cycle. A sound during intended operation does not automatically identify leakage. The observation is most useful when the system and timing are clear rather than described only as water noise somewhere near the property.
Ask what supports the suspected circuit
Acoustic evidence should be relevant to the line being investigated and interpreted alongside other findings. If several systems operate together, ask how they were distinguished within the authorized assessment. A proposed opening should follow corroborated source evidence, not simply the place where ordinary operating sound was most noticeable.
What the chosen detection method establishes
Ask what makes an acoustic reading relevant to the suspected line under those conditions. Acoustic findings depend on conditions and need corroborating evidence.
