A wall mark appears beside a landscaped exterior
Record rainfall, watering and fixture use separately. A stain shows where water appeared, not necessarily its origin.
A landscaped exterior creates another source question
For a wall mark beside planted ground, preserve rainfall, watering and indoor-use dates as separate information. Water reaching the interior finish is a symptom; it does not establish whether concealed household plumbing or an outside path is involved. Do not open the wall to turn that uncertainty into a guess.
Ask why an interior pipe repair fits the findings
The proposed correction should explain what links the mark to an interior circuit and which outside alternative was assessed. If only the visible room was examined, retain the unresolved exterior question. Clarify the investigative opening and finish work separately, so restoration is not mistaken for confirmation that the moisture source is resolved.
Locate the leak before repairing finishes
Ask what source evidence is needed before a concealed interior pipe is blamed for the mark. Detection, pipe work and restoration can need separate authorizations.
